The Contingency Hybrid

Some lies fall outside the range of situations the rules of golf anticipate. The Contingency Hybrid is engineered for those. Its Adaptive Loft Assembly reads the improbability of the shot in real time and configures itself accordingly, from 17° for the merely difficult to 41° for the frankly impossible.

The club performs no function on ordinary shots and will remain inert in the bag until a genuine contingency arises, at which point it engages without instruction.

The Journal of Deterministic Golf classified 340 recovery scenarios and found the Contingency Hybrid produced a playable outcome in every case, including four it had defined as unplayable.
